I Think it's time we get outside HelpW5comes to mind |
TAX TIMEReceived my tax bill this year, as usual it gone up.Don't know about you but I'm getting tired of this BS. Each year the taxes go up and each year the services go down. PEOPLEIt's time we stand up for our rights and get something done.In the last year we have complained about these Hugh mining trucks hauling Ore on our city street. The Big Mining companies and Trucking companies are making millions at our expense. They use our street (which were not built for this type of traffic) and create damage and the repairs are paid for by the tax payers. Why do we have to pay for these companies to make Hugh profits , I ask you why? Specially when these Mining companies are owned by other countries that don't give a damn about our communities. |

Some of my calls I madeI contacted Mayor John Rodriguez by email complaining about this truck problem.I received an acknowledgement that I would received and answer. I NEVER RECEIVED ANY COMMUNICATION On my email to the Mayor I copied my councilman and followed up with an email to ANDRÉ RIVEST - COUNCILOR WARD 6. I followed up with an email to André. André replied to my email saying he was willing to help and never heard anymore. Contacted France Gélinas Provincial Member of parliament by email never got a reply not even an acknowledgment. Contacted Claude Gravelle the federal member of parliament by email. Mr. Gravel replied it was out of his hands, because he was a federal member of parliament. I thanked him for the reply and reminded him that one word from a federal member of parliament would go a long way specially if he talked to the Ontario department of transport. He Phone me on two occasion. I respect a person that has the courtesy to reply. Sent an email to the Ontario Department of transport, got an acknowledgment which was a typical government response. The Email sent me to the original place I started at. In other word they don't want to push the big mining and trucking companies. (that's my opinion) |

RumorsI heard rumors that the city is try I n g to help.I say LOL (Laugh out loud) If anyone is trying to help where are the results. Never seen a police car that controlled the speeding trucks. Never seen the department of transport stopping these truck and verifying their weight. I did however see the city crews patching up the holes. Not much help their because a few week later were right back to where we were. Torn up asphalt and pot holes If you have tried to get help let us know so we can post the response. If the politician is helping we should let everyone know, if you request fell on deaf ears we want the people to know that also. CorrectionSome politicians are listening. See artical below |
